Fans’ choice Chelsea lineup against Burnley: Full strength as Hudson-Odoi, Loftus-Cheek return.Chelsea vs Burnley Live
With everyone else in the top-four race dropping points this weekend,
it’s now up to Chelsea to take advantage. Anything else other than three
points is unacceptable. Burnley, however, won’t be easy to break down
and our recent second half woes are worrying. Maurizio Sarri will
certainly have to choose his first eleven wisely — especially with an
open midweek coming up.Premier League action sees the WAGNH community
in strong consensus, picking everyone’s favourite hyphenated duo,
Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi, instead of Kovačić/Barkley (14%/14%) and
Pedro/Willian (20%/32%), respectively. (Ed.note: all the joke votes were deleted; don’t ruin it for others, kids.) Due to Antonio Rüdiger’s injury, David Luiz and Andreas
Christensen should once again form the centre-back pairing. Marcos
Alonso is doubtful with a gluteal injury, which could mean another start
for Emerson, with César Azpilicueta, as usual, starting on the right.Jorginho and N’Golo Kanté are locked-on starters, with
the third spot going to Ruben Loftus-Cheek after Barkley and Kovačić
both started on Thursday.Eden Hazard is still dealing with the after-effects of
getting kicked a lot on Thursday and could get the day off. Eden wasn’t
“scheduled” to start that one as per the established rotation, but
Sarri clearly felt he needed the extra firepower. Both Willian and
Hudson-Odoi were on the bench Thursday, so should rotate in as the fresh
players alongside Gonzalo Higuaín, who maybe could grace us with a goal
or two perchance. It doesn’t get more crucial than this game if we’re to secure Champions
League football through the Premier League, so I feel inclined to go
with community’s full strength lineup all the way.
